Call for Proposals

We want to hear from you!

The best sessions at user conferences are often the ones led by you! How have you used Veracross to solve a problem, whether large or small? Chances are, many of your colleagues have faced similar challenges and would love to hear from you.

Here are some suggested topics:

  • How Your School Manages Attendance
  • Admissions Application Review
  • Best Practices for Reviewing and Posting Grades
  • Admissions Communications Strategy
  • Managing Online Enrollment
  • Composer Channels and Themes Management
  • Portals Strategy and Design
  • Managing Behavior and Comments
  • Data Integrity Best Practices
  • Recurring Payments Workflows

Or we’d also love to hear how you are addressing other challenges, so we welcome session proposals that do not directly incorporate Veracross.

Submit a proposal today!

Fill out the “Call for Proposals” form to submit your ideas! Calls for proposals are due by February 21, 2020. If you are selected to present, save $100 off your conference registration fee.

FAQs about Sessions

What types of sessions are you looking for?

We are calling for proposals for two types of sessions:

  • 30-minute sessions
  • 45-minute sessions

Sessions can be presentations, panels, discussions (led by you!), etc.

Who should submit a proposal?

We hope to receive submissions from a variety of schools and departments. Here are some examples:

  • A communications director discusses how they branded their portals.
  • An admissions counselor offers best practices for application review.
  • A database administrator outlines their school’s data integrity workflow and processes.

Why should I submit a proposal?

There are three reasons:

  1. We have received feedback over the years that our conference attendees often find school-led sessions about best practices and workflows to be among the most engaging times. We want to have more of them, so we are hoping to hear from you!
  2. Presenting at a conference is an opportunity for your professional development.
  3. You receive $100 off your registration fee.

Does the topic have to be about Veracross?

No! While most sessions address Veracross processes and workflows, we’d love to have a few sessions related to important issues at schools that may not bear directly on our system, e.g., dealing with change management, creating a culture of empathy at your school, etc.

What happens after I submit a proposal?

Proposals are due by February 21, 2020. We will review the proposals and notify you if your proposal has been accepted by March 6, 2020.

Can I Co-present with Veracross or Another School?

Yes, if you are interested in co-presenting with another person not at your school please note that in the additional comments or questions box and we will do our best to match you up. However, we can’t guarantee we will be able to provide a co-presenter.
